Back in the day let's say 10 years, how does a random person look for flights when going to learn in Israel?
#1 call every travel agent to see who has the cheapest direct flights to Israel, options usually was Elal or Continental J (business class)or F (first class) was only for wealthy people or people that traveled a lot and was able to upgrade but not for random people. (no DDFrs aren't random people
)
#2 see which stopover was the best usually Swiss British Airways or Alitalia had the best options.
But once you enter the DDF world things start to change dramatically.
So let's start with this trip as we all know a direct flight to Israel from NY can only be with LY Elal UA United DL Delta and only LY has F but I don't have to talk about LYs F! And UA and DL have decent J class can't complain. So let's start with my journey to and from Israel.
