thank you but what if i do multiple aa redemption's in one year and have 2 cards that offer 10 percent back on miles? meaning in one year you make 2 separate point redemption's each for 100k aa points each? can you get 10k back for each redemption?

Not sure.. sounds like a gray area. Unless specifically excluded, I would imagine there'd be a good case in your favor (advertised card benefit that you're essentially paying for).

thank you for the info and if i downgraded the barclay aa annual fee to a no annual fee can i reapply again? meaning doc indicates you need to close the card before reapplying but does he mean to close the non annual fee card that you downgraded to after getting the 60k bonus and you downgraded to avoid the annual fee ?"If you already have the card, you need to close it before re-applying otherwise you will be automatically denied."

yes, close the downgraded card first

i just applied for the AA aviator and was declined saying that i already had this card in the past year (which i did and closed). and the agent said that they have a policy that they dont extend more than one AA card. anyone else had this issue? any way to get it approved?

Just make sure you have a good explanation why you closed it, and then why now you realize that this is the exact card that you would need...

thanks! is there a thread of best " explanations" or can anyone give me some? I tried using it was a mistake closing but they didn't budge.

It can be that it'll be automatically declined, but reversible.

I also believe I got lucky w my rep. He said that he sees I closed the non fee card, which is true cuz I downgraded, and therefore im eligible for this one.

What is the timeframe to downgrade and get back the annual fee? 60 days? 90 days?
