Friend of mine called them and they added a KSML for free.

I think ARN-JFK
I did for someone KSML on that flight for $3. And on the flight, only those who had paid for their meals got free drinks...

On all their long-haul flights drinks are only free with (and during) meals, and you're officially limited to two drinks per meal/snack.

In between meals they open the snack bar which sells food/drinks, but on most flights they'll give you as many glasses of water (with or without ice) for free if you ask nicely.

correct. I did not know about the water during my flight :-(
Also, you cannot purchase beverage until the bar is open which is several hours into the flight.

I find it interesting that DY works with TA's. I would think they'd go the route of FR, NK, and WN.
But I am happy that they do for two reasons.
1)More business for you.
2) More options for the heimishe olam.

What kind of KSML did they get? Was it worth it? What route did they fly?

They said it was very good, and well worth it. IIRC it was from Paris (the food), and they got drinks with the meal. They flew ARN>NYC

Thanks, I just saw your response now, but you're right. Very good food from Europe, WAM is the caterer, Norwegian's KSML might differ from what is pictured in their link. Keep in mind the Kashrus is AYLOR... See the KSML master thread for more info.

From the US they allegedly (someone told me) serve the "regular Borenstein garbage" for KSML, probably not worth paying for.

General question: I'm looking to book JFK-LGW (on a Sunday) for a flight in about a month from now. Seat map is completely open right now, so dilemma whether to pay for assigned seat.
Does it fill up closer to flight? ie, is everybody also waiting it out?

You tried a TA? The fares TAs have should be a bit cheaper then the 2nd online tier and include 2 bags, seats and meals

No meal is worth $45....

If you have meals then during service you get free drinks, otherwise you have to pay

You can BYOK for much cheaper and get much better than what Norwegian is offering.
