Surprised there is no thread yet for this.
Apple Watch goes on sale April 24th. Pre-orders begin April 10th.

I really want one. Thing is, first gen products can be buggy. Often best to wait for second gen but don't think I'll be able to.
Can anyone confirm that the only diff between the Sport and regular watch are the band and the case?

All the same thing.
Overpriced and will not be impressive.
Why can't you wait until 2nd gen?
History has taught us to stay away from 1st gen Apple products.

Talking to a friend about the Apple Watch who was at an event and tried one one and he's left handed and said the watch is terrible if you're a lefty because the "crown" doesn't work as intuitively when you rotate the watch for a lefty and some of the text/icons don't auto rotate so things are upside down or backward.

I hadn't really thought about that, but that would be annoying.

I do not hate Apple, and own an apple device.
All this gibberish warrants an appropriate response which will have to wait till after shabbos as yom tov starts in a half hour for me.

Watches are foremost a fashion item, and they command a higher price than just the technology alone.

Next we'll find out that there's a rational price for paintings.

Agreed. My main gripe with the item is it'll have a ~2 year useful life. Don't mind paying for a watch, but not if I'll need to replace it every 2 years. It's enough to replace my phone and tablet that often.
