I'm leaning towards KZ, I've been there before and enjoyed it.

nice good knockoff watches
Watch Market but its Blocks long and expect to pay $100s of dollars
cheap knock off Beijing road.

good custom made suits?
I contacted Ritz Carlton hotel in the past that put me in touch with a local tailor he was ok material was limited and not that high quality
you can try that route maybe they have some new contacts other wise closest best tailors are in Hong Kong

I'm about to book a flight with a 12 hour layover.  Can anyone recommend things to see or a tour company to take us around?

There's enough to see for 12 hours :-)

I tried booking through Taiwan but the flights were cheaper/better schedule this way.

We are going to take the metro in and see the Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King and
Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall

You can go to Beijing Lou and do some "China" shopping or go to Luohu (Shenzhen)
