We traveled last Pesach c'H and bought an Ovente electric kettle like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Ovente-KG83O-Cordless-Electric-Kettle/dp/B00I32GK8S.

Unfortunately, we're not traveling this year's c'H, and even more unfortunately, I'm working (if you can call DDF working), so I brought the kettle with me to work and have Starbucks Via...lots of it.

Can coffee beans be peeled?
I'm an optimist; but only because life isn't going to give me any other good choices.

Not in the traditional sense. That would mean getting them still in the berries. Never heard of them sold that way.
Closest you get is buying the beans green and roasting them yourself. There's a thin chaff that comes off during roasting.
(but if there was anything on the outside, the heat of roasting  would have already been מבליע it by then,  making that form of peeling somewhat moot)

some will do their own roast /grind (brew?) before pesach, making it בטל in time. (like boiled sugar)

I roast my own beans, the chaff comes off.

There is 0 chashash for chametz in coffee beans but wtvr  buying a bottle of wine with badatz eida chareidis hechshem has the same probability of chametz .000000000000000000000000000001%

Oh right, go pick your own grapes and make wine

That's problematic as well because without the peels the wine will be white

Same as kitniyos.  Could be processed in same bags, or in same trucks, etc

Yeah, we know you're a rabid anti-frummie, so enough. In case it went over your head, the thing about peeling coffee beans was a joke. And in case you're actually interested in knowing, the minhag of peeling everything is to remove the outer surface which may have been in contact with chametz. And no one is interested in whether you approve of it.
I'm an optimist; but only because life isn't going to give me any other good choices.

A friend of mine posted a pic yesterday of grains found in the lentils by a diligent sefardi.

Even when they eat rice, it's an extremely thorough checking of each grain of rice. Some friends say it's not always worth it -- they'll just wait a week.
