Is there a way to check if a site is legit? Came across an amazing site, highly doubtful that it's legit but don't wanna pass it up if it is.

Include the site address.

Apparently the gas was left on overnight with no flame. Anything I should do now besides air out the house?

Be extremely careful with anything done in the house. Maybe even stay outside until it airs out. I would use an exhaust fan.

Get out and ventilate every room fully. Can also call the fire Dept for a free safety check

Just happened to me a few days ago. Open all windows and doors if possible to help air out. Obviously avoid doing anything that will spark or become a flame. As said above, the fire department has no problem making sure it's safe if you aren't confident.

Thanks. I think we're fine because we'll be out of the house for a few hours. Guess I'll just leave windows open.

Remember, separating clothing from one another can cause a spark from the static.

It depends how you interpret the words "picture" and "video". It is really it's own file format, making it neither.

Aren't all videos like that? Anyways we don't have a "funny strange interesting gifs" thread...

How?
Well to start, the way they are captured now. Reels of film from back in the day, were many still shots, which you could actually look at individually. Digital files have the same capability, but are not typical captured like that, and most definitely aren't stored like that. Theoretically, any picture, motion or not, will be made up of many images, but not the way it used to be.

So you're just saying the the whole concept of FPS simply isn't true? That's essentially how companies rate their cameras' video performance.

It most definitely is. I guess I am wrong in saying that they aren't made up of many pictures, but it is nothing like a "video" used to be.

True to that, but still same old concept.
When I was a kid we used to draw two pictures on the two front pages of a pad, with one being a bit "further" (like a boy further down the road) than the other. We then rolled the top page around a pen or pencil and moved the top paper up and down alternating between the two pictures. It was cute to see the kid "walking down the street" (or whatever the picture was).

How about this ?

"Some video formats show only the pixels that have changed from frame to frame. Other video formats track the movement of pixel groups (like a ball moving from the top of the screen to the bottom), and display the result of how the groups moved and changed."
