Very weird. You can manually add him/her if you want. As long as he/she is ticketed you're good though, I guess.

This will be my first trip with TSA Pre. Can anyone guide me re differences flying with 6 month and? For example, can I keep baby in stroler (bassinet) and what changes there are re bringing baby food and liquid?

Baby has to come out. Ymmv whether they make you put stroller through X-ray machine

Just flew 2 long haul flights overnight (jfk-ams and ams-tlv) first one was in dl j with 2 seats. Second was fake j but they have us an extra seat for doona. I'm debating which was better. J was obviously a much more comfortable product. But having the baby in the doona was really nice. She also slept a lot better.

when booking an elal flight with a lap infant thru Chase UR portal can I book and add the infant later or do I have to do it right away (which would entail a phone call that I dont want to make right now.)

You can’t add the infant online during booking? I know with Amex Travel you have that option.

February will be the first time my DW and I travel internationally with our newborn. Domestically, we travel with the stoller/car seat combo and just gate check, no issues.

Does the same apply internationally when you have a connection? we are flying Swiss JFK - Zurich - CDG. Will we be able to claim it at the jetbridge both times? anyone have experience with swiss in specific, or international in general??

IME (not Swiss), even though we gate-checked the stroller, we did not get it back until baggage claim.

Booked DW on Swiss with INF (using AC miles).

Was able to book seat 6A ("throne seat") for first flight online at no charge, but other flights it wanted $99. So I only reserved a seat on first segment. After I saved that request, it no longer allows me to reserve seats online.

I figured if I call to request a bassinet it might help. At first Swiss said the reservations aren't linked, told me to call AC. Almost an hour with AC on the phone (most of the time on hold while they were trying to work things out with Swiss) and they told me it's fixed and call Swiss to request Bassinet.

Called Swiss, was told again that reservations aren't linked and I should call AC to link. After I asked to speak to a supervisor, magically they were able to do it. However, they said couldn't get it for first segment (not sure if it's because of the seat, or too close to flight), and for 2nd and 3rd segments booked 6D with confirmed bassinet, and no seat confirmation or bassinet for last leg (ZRH-JFK).

Do they only make Bassinets available in 6D (business class A330), or can they also be had on the "Throne" seats, or at least on 6G, that has some separation between the Aisle and the seat?

Not sure if there is a rule across the board, but with DL, they wanted a percentage of the current price. I added my son months later, when the price of tickets dropped back to what it was when I purchased for myself.

It is 10% of the currently available lowest fare for class of travel.
