I just flew with AZ earlier this week. On the TLV-FCO segment the food was Badatz Eida Hachareidis. On the FCO- JFK flight, the first meal was given in a cardboard box that was not sealed with plastic. Inside there were a few sealed packages of food as well as some open stuff ( I remember there were pitas, but I don’t recall what else there was). Since the package was not sealed, I refrained from eating anything even though there was a hechser on it from the Badatz of Amsterdam. In the carton, there was a note from the Badatz of Amsterdam stating that all food items with a yellow marking were parve, while those with a red label were fleishig. For breakfast we were handed out the same cardboard boxes, this time sealed in plastic. There was a yellow sticker on the box. This time I felt confident to try the food. I tried a stuffed pita first sure that there was falafel inside. I was shocked to find meat inside the sandwich. I was wondering if anyone has any specific info on this hashgacha. Are they reliable? After these two incidents, I feel kind of wary….
