Market's always changing, but you can't go wrong with anything by canon, in my opinion.

a Panasonic pv-gs320 shop around and u can get a great price but be care full where u get  it from

i have the sony DCR-pc105 and its great. the camera on it isnt that great, but as for the camcorder it does great job. its small, light, and everything else.
