Re: QuickBooks
« Reply #30 on: March 16, 2016, 09:14:03 PM »
Here's my issue,

My hard drive broke and I'm trying to restore my QuickBooks file on my new computer,

I have a backup (QBB) on my flash drive created on 3/7,
After creating the backup (back than) I sent my company file to my accountant using an accountant copy (QBX) and my accountant sent me back a file with accountant changes (QBY) to import,

So I now installed QuickBooks on my new computer and restored my backup file I had on my drive, I then tried to import the QBY file but I couldn't since my backup was from before I sent the QBX to my accountant,
So I tried to create now a new QBX file and then import the QBY I received back than from my accountant and I got this error;

QuickBooks cannot import the Accountant's Changes.  Possible reasons are:

You have the wrong company file open.
You removed the Accountant's Copy restrictions from the company file.

Is there anything I can do?

TIA

Does anyone have any experience with Microsoft Dynamics?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Good morning,

Maybe one of y'alls can help me out. (QB Desktop)

I am setting up QuickBooks payroll, I need to add Roth IRA deduction. The deduction is after taxes.
I put in the % based upon NET Pay, the problem is that there are other deductions that are included in NET pay, not just tax withholding.
If there a way for the calculations to be based upon the total pay after only deducting taxes? (Not health insurance, loan repayments, etc.)

Thank you

No.

Only with desktop versions you can create as many companies as you wish.

One way you may be able to get it for cheaper, and with one login...

(Note that I have not tested this out)

Sign up for a free QB proadvisor account as an accountant. Then you can add "clients". They would subscribe through you at half the cost..

And as the accountant you can then log into their books using your login...

Anyone have additional thoughts on this...

Doesn't ProAdvisor have a monthly fee? Or are there different versions?
