So essentially we've exhausted all options (BBB, CPBV, Supervisors, Filing Complaintsm etc) and the only thing a supervisor said we can do is write to Amex Customer Support in El Paso. However, Customer Support in Salt Lake City already denied us as a response from our BBB and CPBV complaint), and will not investigate (short of something coming of our BBB response to their response saying no one used a signup link). I'm at the point of just canceling my wife's card to at least get part of the annual fee back and being done with this. Has anyone else in this thread or anywhere online had luck getting anything out of this, or is just a lost cause for everyone. Even our file by Amex when calling up says they can't give anymore points as compensation, and Customer Support in El Paso is the last option.

The extra points are probably not as valuable as the refunded fee. I don't expect to get my referral points but they gave 11,000 pts just for the trouble.

Problem is for me we'd get back like $56 and we're out right now 80,000 points (6 referrals).

I would explain that you have a certain property you're looking to book and was hoping for these extra 80k to do so, and see what they can offer. If you get a bad rep, just HUCA.

No go, account has notes that say they can't give any additional points on this account. Called quite a few times in past month about this issue.

Why not just downgrade it to regular Hilton card? You should still be able to get the referral points in the unlikely case that they decide to give them to you

You sure referral points would still be applicable? I've been waiting to DG for same reason but would do it if referral points wouldn't be forfeited.
