They should make flights to SAN & LAS in flatbed too. That would give them a major competitive edge

Wow no more P.S. from JFK.

Not surprising...wasn't much left for UA at JFK.
When I was in the Global Lounge, the agent said it's dead these days and AA/DL drown them from competition.
Smart to make the UA PS service EWR-LAX/SFO. That'll give them an advantage and an opening to their transcon premium service to a different airport. Honestly, EWR is easier access to Manhattan.

Although this is welcome news to me, I wouldn't bank on award space.

I would think they should introduce a United Express Bus Service from EWR to JFK for connections. (The UE bus option exist for EWR-ABE).

Why couldn't this happen 4 months earlier? I'm flying LAX-EWR in Buisness in 2 weeks and its not lie-flat :(

Did they switch the planes over to EWR already?

Been upgraded a bunch of times EWR-LAX/SFO but was never lie flat. I believe UA had one 737-900 (CMIIW) a day with lie-flat on the EWR-SFO route.

Some have, but in terms of all or most of them, not yet. It says Beginning October 25. There are (at least the day I looked 6/28) 3 flights on a Boeing 757-200 with lie-flat business but they aren't redeyes. I'm not sure what the "regular" schedule looks like.

So speculatively booking open J flights after 10/25 may be a good idea.

They have quite a few 757-200s now which (cmiiw) all come with lie - flat seats.

There have been 2 dailies EWR-LAX and vice versa that had lie flat for a while now. They were not PS, but still lie flat.

What does PS offer other than lie-flat?

There are 12 more J seats, and I believe 6 more Economy Plus seats.
They advertise that every seat has a TV and outlet. Not sure if the non-p.s. has that or not.

Oh.I actually meant what does it offer to each passenger, but that is interesting information too.
