I randomly found round trip UA discount saver awards to Hawaii, I booked for the end of August. came to 33,750 round trip (only works for round trip/multi city)

I would like to go from NYC during the promo dates, and would love to go to either Kaui and Big Island or Kaui and Maui on the same trip.
Ideally a Monday thru the following week Thursday Red eye flight.
Can this be done on one ticket or does interisland flights need to be made?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can open-jaw the flights, were you would fly out to one island, and fly back from another.
You would have to buy the inter-island trip separately.
Award tickets for inter-island are 6K United, 5K AA miles, or about $80-100 revenue.
(All are on Hawaiian or IslandAir)

If I try with multi destintion as NYC-KOA on one day   and 10 days later LIH-NYC it does not show any award flights when logged in with my united account.

Is there another way to do this?

It's easier to search the flight legs individually - sometimes the united site gets confused with tricky flights.
Search one-way NYC -> KOA, and then LIH -> NYC and use the award calendar to figure out available dates.
After you know which ones you want, enter those dates into the multi-destination search, and it should work.
If it still doesn't, you can call them to book - have the flight numbers you want handy, and they should be able to help you.

Also, you can search the connections individually too - for example NYC -> LAX, LAX -> KOA. (or SFO).
If you can't get the site to put them together for you, you can call to book.
