I heard about Amazon running an Alibaba Singles Day style sale from an Amazon rep, and Google led me to this. http://www.techtimes.com/articles/64715/20150630/amazon-rumored-to-be-having-huge-black-friday-style-20th-anniversary-sale-in-july.htm. The article references July 12th, and the rep told me July 5th, but something seems to be afoot.

This is part of an email Amazon sent out to some sellers:

Amazon is turning 20 years old, and we’re planning a massive, global event to celebrate this momentous occasion! The event is planned for July, and will take place no later than July 20, 2015... We are looking for Lightning Deals, which are limited-time deals where customers can get discounts of 20% or more on specific items (based on the site price from the previous day and the average price for the previous 90 days)

I don't like Amazon's way of doing deals. It's probably going to be the 'Lightning' deals style where deals are only available for an hour or two and is first come first served.

This is not news. If the title doesn't have the words "master thread" in it, it'll never show up in your search. Gotta just become familiar enough with the forums to know how threads are titled so you know what to search for.
