Ive been getting the daily email from the main site for quite a while and it always came at about 6 AM which was quite convenient as Dan very often puts new posts up late at night. It was perfect timing.

Recently that email started coming at about 4 PM which is practically useless to me as I've already see the site by that time.

I think it changed about the same time Dan left on his RTW trip.
Has anyone else noticed this? Any way to get those emails to start coming in the early morning again?

There was also a petition (several times) regarding the reply link in forum emails, where the link now takes you to the first post instead of the new post or something.

Admittedly OT, but it related to technical workings of the site and emails. I was hoping Dan/Eli would see it when they see your post.

My question was regarding the emails on the Main site, not the forums. Nothing to do with the forums.

People complained about the 6am email that by the time they got it all the the "today only" deals (that were posted the day before) weren't working the "today" that they got the deal.

2 sides to every coin. It all depends on whether you are trying to please the daily visitors or the occasional visitor.

The people who check the website daily will see the today only deals when they check it throughout the day. A 6 pm email summarizing the deals we've been looking at all day doesn't really help a daily visitor to the side.

On the other hand, a 6 AM email is perfect when most of the time the deals are added around midnight. That makes it really easy to see what deals were just posted.

I imagine you can provide 2 options, let people decide if they want the am or pm email (or both)

+1 million.

I always tell people you can call me at any hour of the night or day. If im sleeping, my phone wont ring. When we had a landline, we told people the same thing. The phones were set to silence the ringer at night.
The only tayna i hear to have the email come at 6 pm is for the "today only" deals. But then again, we all know that most of the deals are posted around 12 AM and a 6 AM email makes a lot more sense.
