The theory goes that today's schools teach nothing of an afterlife or good versus evil, just of a legal system and jailtime as consequences.  Thus we have kids who have given up on life who don't care about consequences in this world and we wind up with a spate of shootings like we've seen.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree with that sentiment, the point is to stir up some dialogue.

I'm not sure what you thought the reference was, but the line and screenshot are based on the movie Field of Dreams. The actual line is, "If you build it he will come." The change from 'he' to 'they' is obviously necessary for the bit to work, but the change from 'it' to 'anything' much less so. Unless you have some political quote talking about 'build[ing] anything' I'm missing?
