Pageplus Master Thread

I have finally decided to rid myself of sprint, after they took away my recurring credit and refuse to reinstate it, together with the $10 smartphone fiasco. I heard about a prepaid company called pageplus. They run on the verizon network and have a deal for $45 (all terumos and maasros included) unlimited talk and text. Want to know if anyone has their service and what your experience was like. Customer service wise, reception wise and anything else. Thanks in advance.

Some of my younger siblings use it and are generally happy. It runs on the Verizon network and the coverage is pretty good. When I was was in the white mountains of NH this summer, my ATT phone had just about no reception while my brothers PagePlus had excellent reception. Just keep in mind that AFAIK it only runs on Verizon, so no roaming.

thanks, I have found that most people that have verizon almost never have to roam off it to another network, only sprint sometimes roams on verizon.

I don't think they have an Unl. Data option, so if you need that it might not be a good fit for you.

That is correct, basically they have three options:
PAYG (pay as you go) the most expensive option however some may find it useful for an emergency phone. You can get 2000 minutes for $80 dollars, and it takes a year to expire.
$29.95 1200 Txt 1200 Min 30 MB data
$44.95 Unlimited talk and text, 20 MB data

The network is Verizon, unlike stated above they do support roaming but its not free (you must have additional "loose" funds i.e. not tied up in a "plan" to be able to pay for the roaming) supposedly their roaming rates are not bad.
Customer service is not great, but most people that I have heard from ares sufficiently satisfied overall that its still worth it.

i have page plus. good service. customer service is not the greatest. although i only called to move the service onto another phone. i use an agent to refill for me so that i dont have to worry about being out of service until i refill. i think its worth the price.

I have several family memebers using PP, and they're all happy with the coverage. But you can have long wait times for CS.

They have improved the monthly plans significantly compared to the old rates above.

The 12 for $12/month
Includes 250 Minutes, 250 Text/Picture* Messages, 10 MB Data

Talk n Text 1200 for $29.95/month
Includes 1,200 Minutes, 3,000 Text/Picture* Messages, 250 MB Data.

Unlimited Talk n Text for $39.95/month
Includes Unlimited Minutes, Unlimited Text/MMS* Messages, 200 MB of Data.

The 55 for $55/month
Includes Unlimited Talk, Unlimited Text/Picture* Messages, 2 GB of Data.

And

$69.95/month
Includes Unlimited Talk, Unlimited Text/Picture* Messages, 5 GB of Data

The 1200 is an amazing plan if you are not a very heavy user.

They have great coverage. Never had an issue with customer service and haven't had to contact them in over a year.
I use an agent to refill for me so that i dont have to worry about being out of service until i refill.
Unlike some other prepaid companies, with page plus you can stack refills in your account to auto renew as soon as your month expires.

I also purchase all my prepaid refills at Callingmart to save a few more dollars per month. You can always use coupon code: ca3p-1207 for 3% off (doesn't expire), or check there FB page as they usually have a new 5% off code each month.

The $30 plan looks really good! I think I'm gonna move over from straight talk, I didn't realize when I signed up that they only have tmobile. T-mobile is horrible in lakewood so the PP running on Verizon should be awesome! Does anyone now how this plan (1200 minutes, 250mb) stacks up against competition?
