Topic Wiki

Thread summary:

Trump walks in a room.

1. Moshe123 shoots at him because he is pure evil, 2. ilherman+hachover jump in front of the bullets because Trump is our savior. 3. aygart tackles Moshe123 because Trump is better than HRC, 4. but Baruch can't stand Trump so he tells aygart he's crazy and Trump is a madman. 5. ExGingi would like to point out that who cares what he is, all that matters is the supreme court nominations. 6. Dan and others aren't really sure how this makes them feel plus they don't really want to drink poison. 7. Spoiler alert: Moshe123's gun was empty, it was just a blank.

And Freddie is in the back of the room just cooking his cholent. Until he announces that there are TWO menu choices, Pareve Cholent or Vegetable Lasagna. While etech0 figured out that they are both poisoned.

Repeat x100.

And then Hilary walks into the room with the most confidence a candidate has had in recent history. She is so confident that she eats both the Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna. Everyone is the room is aghast, they don't know how this happened, could it be Comey is behind this poisoning or was it that her Obamacare premiums were to high to get her the help she needed.

Everyone stared as she choked and was cast into oblivion on November, 8, 2016 the last day she was heard from in the public eye.

Moshe123, ilherman, hachover, Baruch, ExGingi, Dan, Freddie, etech0, and the rest of America are in total shock and hope that so long as Trump doesn't eat any Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna and stays true to his supreme court nominees this may be the greatest thing to happen since the CSR and GC's.

But remember this may be the beginning of the end...

P.S. Thanks to cognitive dissonance aygart, Michael Moore, and Scott Adams knew the whole time that Trump could win, unfortunately for JTZ he may be off DDF for the next 4 years due to his mandatory 3 times daily consumption of CROW!

As things turns out, the most prescient view on this election was that of Michael Moore! Though Scott Adams is also claiming a high view level of prescience.

His defence actually makes sense. I can be that he said that the soldier knew what he was getting into. My first thought when hearing that was that he may have meant it to say how the soldier war so good that he wanted to defend his country even though he knew what the result may be and not the dismissive way the Ds are making it.
In this situation I am going to guess he might not have used the right words. That does not change the fact with what the congress women tried to do. "Despicable" is the right word.

Yeah, he has a history of not using the right words, to say the very least. +1 about the congresswoman.

There’s a huge difference between-

“It’s sad that he died, but he knew what he was getting into.”
And
“This brave man, knew what he was getting into, and still signed up to defend his country”

Being that the quote has no context, no proof, and literally 0 motive for Trump to embarrass him (trump is extremely patriotic and wouldn’t say it unless it’s revenge), I’m inclined to believe that if he said that quote, it was in the latter context.

Kelly makes it clear that the whole 'knew what he was getting into' thing was his idea. How does he not know that there's likely a difference between what he - a Marine Corp General - would find consoling coming from another military person and what this non-military widow would find consoling from someone like Trump?

And Kelly also pretty much told us straight out where Trump got the idea of Obama and others not calling.

Bottom line, this whole thing reflects poorly on Kelly (as Chief of Staff specifically) more than Trump.

I think it reflects rather poorly on everyone for politicizing, but much more so on the dems and media.  They are just pathetic

He's supposed to be the one minimizing Trump's mistakes, and he contributed to them here. Whether or not the Dems and the media did something worse, I don't think you can say Trump did a good job here.

I'm not saying he didn't do a good job with the presser. I'm saying he didn't do a good job guiding Trump on this issue. He basically tried to convince Trump not to make calls (probably because he rightly knew it would do more harm than good), but in the process likely goaded him to make the calls. While making the argument that presidents don't/shouldn't necessarily call (send a letter instead), Trump spun that into Obama and others didn't call. And he basically advised him to say something on the call that was obviously not appropriate for this specific family (ignoring the congresswoman's bluster, the mother said she felt Trump disrespected).

Would she have felt that way without the congresswoman their coaching her? Highly unlikely. Most of these types of calls they don't really hear what is being said, they just feel good that someone cared enough to call. Unfortunately over here the congresswoman was right there to poison the broth.

Without the caveat that none of us actually heard the phone call, I have to say I disagree. With the best of deliveries, that line would be tricky to say to a family that's not a 'military' family - this is not a John Kelly he was talking to. And I don't have great confidence that Trump's delivery was the best of deliveries either. Would it have been publicized without the congresswoman? Maybe yes, maybe no. But it doesn't take away from the fact that it was a bad idea in the first place.

My views of this president are well known. To play politics with this issue is so wrong. I guess some have no shame.

Yes, we understand you have a crush on him, and show it by acting out.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders needs to go. Again today she looked like a fool answering questions.
