Whenever someone interprets everything someone says in the worst possible way or always in the best possible way that means that we can discount what they say. This thread is full of items which I declined to defend Trump about as well and which I found fault in him as well as items which I defended Hillary about. I cannot say the same for you regarding Trump in the opposite direction.

This article is very biased, it even says at the end " Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S." if you're able to say that, you obviously have a very strong opinion on the matter and wont change it anytime soon.

Not mention in the article is that he is using more space for his campaign, another two floors of space usually adds money to rent. And obviously he's spending more money now than before - it's getting closer to election day and he only spent a fraction of what Hillary spent, he needs to catch up. Especially because hes falling behind.

This definitely doesn't look great, but on the other hand if he is paying the rent himself then why should he charge himself full price just to need to pay taxes. Wouldn't you give yourself a discount? If he is self funding then why did he charge himself at all? What was the purpose in that? My understanding is that there are legal requirements (some very useful Dem regs) that forced him to pay rent to himself. Even so, he should not be hiking up the rent on his campaign now that it is paid by others.

Another thing the article itself points out is that it is unclear if they are using more square footage. If they are is it something wrong at all? He may be required by law to charge himself more. The amount of campaign staffers the article quotes is irrelevant as the article itself states that most do not work out of headquarters anyhow.

The optics are definitely not great, but to call it epic? this is a microscopic droplet compared to Clinton speeches and Foundation's pay to play.
