What you really want to use is ita software's month-long search.

Methinks he means the Matrix search. It's a site made by ITA, a company Google is in the process of purchasing for $700 million.

Use the date option 'see calendar or lowest fares'.

Sidestep has a similar option, kayak does not.

Plenty of availability to both MIA and FLL for $199 leaving the 3/7 returning 3/14, 3/15 or 3/16.
