Amtrack would be different story, as would if you changed option to ORD-CLE

Honestly guys, chill out. I flew spirit (on this route actually) and if all goes well (which more than half the time it does) it's really not that bad.

If you have any baggage besides your handbag, Spirit will cost more than the $20 fare. So Megabus will be cheaper.

I did this route with spirit. And did Megabus from yyz (which is shorter, obviously). Spirit is definitely the way to go, no question.

I did both as well. Spirit ORD-LGA and Megabus CHI-MEM (9 hours). Megabus is chillin. If you get good passengers all you need is a poker set and you can get a good game going
