Yup,  but there are certain times that it can make a lot of sense.  A last minute train from Washington DC to NY can cost 150, but only 4k points

Wasn't there also a way to transfer UR to a hotel through Amtrak?

I care, but with the new award chart,  it doesn't matter.

I did it a half dozen times in the past year.  4k UR for a last minute train from Baltimore to NY was a no-brainer.

Amtrak is pretty worthless on the West Coast.

Maybe it's better now with Uber

I take this as much to a few times a month.

Whys that? the new transfer IMO is even better. Now I can also get on Acela for a decent redemption. Im debating transferring in 100k UR or just getting the new CC and doing some MS on that card.

With this going to BOA, MS is still the same..so not really THAT concerned. Yes it was easier with Chase, but this isn't the end of the world.

I used this all of the time going from NYC to Baltimore :( this annoying. Last minute tickets go for about $90-$140 each way so 4,000 UR point were a great redemption.
