My boychik is going to be mad when he wakes up tomorrow.
My 19-month old figured out his way with the hooks a long time ago.

I like the feature that can disable it.

My wife can cook and deactivate it and resume right after.

Is there a way to move it to another cabinet (or house)?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

You can rip it out and glue it to another cabinet.
If you change your mind within a few minutes the adhesive shouldn't get ruined and you can relocate it without glue.

I created this product because it solved a personal need, as my infants were emptying out my cabinets, constantly making messes and sometimes handling dangerous items.
It worked well for me in my house so I took the plunge and created my own version.

However, others may have a different experience than me and others may use the locks different than I expected and find some issues that I haven't thought of.

For example, someone pm'ed me that their older kid can still get into the cabinet if they yank it very hard. Honestly that wasn't the intended use, it's aimed at protecting cabinets and closets from curious infants/toddlers that may hurt themselves or break something. And even a screw in lock would not be 100% protective from an older, determined kid. And of corse, the magnetic key will have to be hidden well from a smarter kid.

So it's good that it gets pointed out over here so no one has any false expectations.

I don't mind if someone constructively criticizes the locks though I would like for anyone criticizing to point out if they feel that they wasted $5 or not. Some people reading the criticism may think that the poster hates the product and regrets purchasing while the criticizers' intent may be just to help me improve a product that they love.

On the instructions, I think that 'table top' is confusing. do you mean 'counter top"?

ETA: To be honest, I didn't even look at the instructions, and i ripped them in half when opening the package. But now I am reviewing it, and if someone needs instructions, table top may be confusing.

I have 2 screw in magnetic locks(safety 1st) installed.  One can be pulled open by adult the other can't. I think it's because on one I installed lock a little farther from latch than the other. This might be the case as well by the person who pm'ed you.

Unless you are from those who need to call down a handyman every time a light bulb needs to be replaced, this should be enough of an explanation.

I think I see what might be my issue. My locks come with a wide base, unlike the one shown in the picture.

They're both the same...They all come with a wide base , so there can be a large area for the adhesive.

Hard to see from the picture, but okay. I guess there is not enough space between the front panel and walls of my kitchen drawers. I suppose I could install it inside the actual drawer.

I think that's an advantage, in case the key is lost.

When I do figure out where I'll install it (and do so), I'll let you know.

Yuneeq - just received the locks, but was not charged,  guess because it had the precious code in the system?

I received my locks. The package came broken open.
Currently I have the hooks which work well.
I don't understand why I would want to use something that needs a key which can get lost.
You also lose one hand when taking something heavy out of a cabinet as you are holding the key.
I'm not trying to say it is not a good product but it seems simpler is better in my house at least.
I still will give it a great review.
Thank you.

Received mine today. As mentioned above, packaging is frustration full. As mentioned above, the instructions are almost useless, which is a shame. The wording and the diagrams are both poorly done, unclear and confusing.

Product functions well. Four stars.

Thank you
