I think Norfolk is the closest place to there. They have meat in the supermarkets but i don't think there is any restaurants.

I went once.  The hotels are pretty trashy aside for a Hilton and the beach is pretty low class.  Supposedly you can rent a house on the beach and its not bad.

Virginia Beach is a sister city to Norfolk, about 45 minutes from Richmond. Norfolk has plenty of kosher food in supermarkets, kosher shwarma, and kosher bagels. I believe they might have a later shachris bein hazmanim as well.

Use the app kosher gps. I was just there for a few days and the shawarma place is called Mr. Shawarma and the falafel was heaven. Also, check out the 2 hour  naval Base tour on a cruise. It was really cool.

Try name your own price on priceline for 4* hotel and car.  Also, the Norfolk airport has nonstop on American from NYC for just 9k avios round-trip. We were in Sheraton Norfolk and the customer service was great. They waived the $20 daily valet fee just by me asking for them too. We also got corner king on club floor just by asking which officially is $40 for upgrade per day. It is right on a river but not the ocean. We didn't care cause it was just as good of a view and we anyways didn't go to the beach. The service by the car rental was great. We reserved a full size from budget but they gave us a mid size suv instead. They would've given a luxury car but they just didn't have any in the lot. The bottom line is that people in Virginia are much different then Newyorkers. So just ask for a favor nicely and you should get it. For example, we almost got the presidential suite as a free upgrade after the person at the front desk tried hard to find an opening for us. It ended up being booked so they apologized profusely for not giving it to us as if they owed us anything. We are more of the laid back type so spend most of our time just relaxing on the boardwalk. But I heard there is a zoo there if that's what you like. There is also bike rentals on the boardwalk.

Is that what you did and got the Sheraton? Why did you not choose to stay in VB proper in the spg there?

It would come out to be double the price and it's not right on the ocean anyways. So I took a chance with priceline and got a different one instead. It was 10k starpoints in Virginia Beach and was half of that in norfolk
