Dan's Inbox: Where Fun Happens!
« on: February 07, 2011, 12:46:02 PM »
Warning: Send me a stupid email and it will end up here...

Or are you doing it so you get less annoying emails?
+100
The less the better.

Someone just sent me an email wondering why AMEX won't let her transfer points to Chase like I said they would?

The most common response was: why did i get an email today with deals ending yesterday?

The feedburner emails always bring out the most intelligent responses.  Here's another:
"Still waiting to hear back from you regarding a defective DVD player I bought months ago. I e-mailed you the requested info and called a number of time. I would really appreciate the customer service to get this straightened out!"

Or "could you tell me something about time stamps?  this email says 7:14 on Fri.
i knew the LaCoste was yesterrday--Thursday and the "headline" gives the impression it is today--Friday, but when you open it up, it does allude to Thursday.
so my question is regarding not just this email but others that i have received from others with deadlines from the day before, why nad how does this happen.  Your "timeline" says Friday but some of the emails I have received from others were time stamped "yesterday."

Or "I was curious about receiving e-mails on Shabbos. Are they done before the digest goes out on Shabbos? Just asking, thanks"

Or "note-you're sending "coupons" on the 28th that expired on the 27th"

And then you have those "I heard your email, www.DriveSafe.ly read it to me.I will get back to you soon."

Honestly if there weren't so many subscribers I would just turn the option off.

ok, all i can say is WOW! Those emails deserve a thread on their own. Maybe you should post them someplace as you receive them so we can all have some good laughs.

I choked just trying to read that timestamp one.

I rest my case...if its the annoyance factor, im sure i can find another way to get updates in the AM. (was using a site called http://www.followthatpage.com/ for a while). It was very nice to have the morning email, but if it brings in less of these, just keep it status quo. (Could you at least call me back about the defective DVD player?? ;))
