They (& LG G5) took off the feature that Google added on Marshmallow that gives you the option to treat SD cards as regular storage.

kinda makes sense, otherwise if you pull it out in middle....   And it's a lot slower.

Though I would love to have the feature.

So why did they take it off, it wasn't a default feature, it was optional.

They think people are going to pull it out while the phone is on, creating issues.

Put it by the advanced options with a warning?

agreed. But then again, using apps off it would likely be terribly slow anyhow.

most people are stupid and would blame samsung for the issues so they would rather keep the feature out entirely.  Although they should have kept larger storage devices available in this case.

+1, even just 64 gb (meaning not making a 128 or so) 32gb is small... just the essential stuff and bloatware take up a lot of that...

The edge has a 3600 mAh battery and the regular S7 has a 3000 mAh battery
That much I know, I was asking if the 3600 will actually keep the phone going longer then the regular S7 or will that extra mah be used to power the larger screen + the extra edge features.

Excellent question, I would guess it's some of both.

I guess you'll have to wait for actually usage reports to know that...

I'm banking on it giving a little extra juice, although I'd prefer the regular version I preordered the edge...

I was just about to preorder the S7 regular, then I saw that the color I want (silver/white) is not available >:( >:(

That's just a sneaky way of them getting you to buy the edge...

Here is an excellent comparion for those like me that are on the edge (pun intended ;D) about which to order

I'm probably just going to preorder the edge, does anyone here have the S6 edge? Do good cases adequately protect the edge?

same issue, I am shocked that they did not make the white available in the US.  I am not interested in the edge so its just black or gold for me.  Its for my wife and she doesnt want black but is worried that the gold will be too shiny
