Thanks.  Definitely weighing all options. Minyan also is a factor which I am working on.

Thinking of changing this a bit.  Staying in whistler just one night and flying Monday night from Vancouver to Edmonton.  Sleep overnight in Edmonton and drive tues morning to jasper. Tuesday night in jasper and drive icelands parkway on Wednesday to lake Louise.  Wednesday night in lake Louise area and Thursday evening  to Canmore where we will get settled for shabbos.  White water rafting on Sunday and banff on Monday.  Tuesday tbd.

Much less backtracking and some of the logistics may be better for us.

I think both itineraries are good and will decide between the two.

Is there any reason you would rather stay shabbos in Canmore and not in Banff?

There are more condos with full kitchens available in Canmore.  We are hoping it will be easier to put together a minyan in canmore.

There is currently a promotion at the Walmart portrait studio offering a 30 min photo session anywhere in Canada for 50 CAD. It normally goes for 188, and once it is purchased, it doesn't expire. If you are past 50 km from a Walmart (there is one in Canmore), it adds 25 to the cost. They give you four prints of the same one pose of your choice, and after that you are at the mercy of the studio to get the rest of your pictures.

Phone only. I saw it in the Shawnessy location, but they said it's cross Canada and you can call it in.

Hey All, I'm sure this was addressed somewhere and I looked for it but couldn't find it. But I'm planning a 5 day trip to both Banff and Glacier National Park (flying to Kalispell or Calgary) and wanted to know if I'm wasting my time trying to fit both places into my itinerary or to just pick one and spend all of our time there. What do you guys think? Everyone raves about Banff but Glacier looks amazing too, and keep in mind it would be the week of the 4th of July, so the less tourists the better. Thank you!!

With just 5 days, you're probably just better off with Banff, icefields parkway and Jasper

Regardless if you're referring to the American Glacier National Park or the Canadian, neither are worth it in such a short time frame.

Calgary always has a Minyan on Shabbos.

Nice, can you post (or direct message) where and when, in case we end up in the mountains and will miss Minyan?

Hey everyone,
I have a Marriott 7 night hotel certificate (from the stay and fly package or whatever its called). Would love to use it to go to Banff. Problem is that the only nogea hotels are in Calgary which is 90 min away. Is it really pushing things to go anyway and just drive each day back and forth to the mountains? If it makes any difference I have a 2 year old and a 8 month old....
Thanks
