Update due... Anyone saw the new movie yet? Is it good?

I'm dying to go but I'm looking for the "right" person to go with... not someone who just jumped on the bandwagon, but someone who has shed blood tears and sweat over the most EPIC story ever :))

Yes, it's really good. Not perfect IMHO. Definitely WAY better than the prequels (I know that's not saying much)

Seems like they've made a lot of money this weekend. (If I say from people stupid enough to watch it in theater, I'll get screamed at by people anti pirating, and by people who say the in theater experience is incomparable, so I won't.)

Is it advised to watch all the previous films in the series before watching the new or it doesn't really matter?

Star Wars was the most brilliantly MARKETED production of all time. The craze around Star Wars is the same craze that used to surround Justin Bieber. Mind manipulation of the highest order.

Star Wars is a decent series of movies at best. The excitement back in the 70's was around the fact that there were cool-looking futuristic spacecraft and weapons. This was exiting for kids, who went and bought the brillianty marketed merchandise, the costumes, posters, t-shirts, toy figurines, Legos and more, thus sealing its fate as a "legend".

George Lucas is a brilliant BUSINESSMAN, and I will give him credit where credit is due. A writer? A thinker? Meh.

You need to watch the original 3 films (episodes 4, 5, and 6).
No need to watch episodes 1, 2, and 3.

Caveat: I haven't watched this new film (episode 7) yet, no spoilers please.

Just walked out of the theater.... It is UNREAL! They do an amazing job incorporating the old films... And the sound was AMAZING
