I actually already tried to status match from Hyatt Diamond  (after getting that from Hilton Gold) and they wouldn't match me. Not even a challenge option.

It was just posted this morning and they were vague about how the match will go.  I'm sure once reports start coming in, this will get more exciting (although Hilton Diamond isn't that exciting.)

Can get you awesome benefits at their Israel hotels (free breakfast and upgraded to a suite at the WA Jerusalem and that same thing plus Executive lounge access at the TA Hilton where we literally able to get all our drinks and even daily dinner for free, basically making it a free all-inclusive resort for us).

That sounds good to me.  I was looking at the difference between Gold and Diamond and, for the most part, the "guaranteed" parts are not significantly different, other than Diamonds being guaranteed access to the lounge, if at the hotel.  However, if a lot of hotels tend to upgrade Diamonds to suites, that's sweet

They don't have to do a suite upgrade but I definitely think it's more likely as a Diamond and the guaranteed Exec Lounge access IS huge because although we did get a suite we actually weren't upgraded to the Executive floor and like you mentioned if you are gold you only get lounge access if you are put on that floor and that lounge access literally saved us hundreds of dollars.  In addition to all the food, I literally even went and got all our sodas there everyday to bring to the pool. 😜

I just received my Hyatt Diamond match today. Sent the request to Hilton and tweeted them if they can expedite the match for my Hilton stay tomorrow. 3 hours later I'm matched to HHilton Dimond!!
