I got 2 per room per night (2 rooms) as Gold but that was Jan 2015. I think they got stingier.

Of course you can. I don't have the Hyatt card and got matched to Diamond.

Some people have gotten Diamond but most have gotten platinum status

I have been successful in being matched to Hyatt Diamond from SPG Gold. YMMV
