« on: September 28, 2008, 04:38:44 PM »
Anyone know if I cancel my AA-citicard in middle of the second year if they will refund me a prorated amount of the annual fee?
Thanks

I dont believe that I've ever kept any of my AA cards that long to find out...

In case anyone was wondering, I was too late to cancel before my last statement of the year closed, so I called to ask to be refunded a pro-rated amount, and instead they gave me a second year free :).

I tried to consolidate or downgrade my AA Mastercard and was told that they no longer do that.  They offered me an $85 statement credit if I spend $3000 in 3 months or $25 credit if I spend $500.  Any suggestions?  How badly will closing the account affect my credit report?
