Kevarim
Jewish cemetery near the Old Powazki. Established in 1809, it is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in the world. Spread over an area of nearly 44,000 square feet (3160 square meters), the cemetery was left largely intact by the Nazis and includes the graves and tombs of a quarter of a million people, including the great Rabbanim of Warsaw as well as many secular giants in literature and the arts.

The Jewish Ghetto
The infamous Warsaw Ghetto, the scene of the only organized uprising.
On the left side of the Praga River, where the Ghetto used to be, you can visit several monuments commemorating the Jews of Warsaw, including the Monument over the Ghetto Heroes at Zamenhof Square, and Umschlagplatz, a memorial raised at the very spot where Warsaw Jews were gathered in 1943, loaded on cattle wagons and transported to the death camp at Treblinka. It is still possible to see how Jews lived in Warsaw ulica Prozna, a street left largely intact from before the Holocaust.

Many. When you enter, straight in front of you is the chelkas rabonan. There is also a huge sign with lot and row number of the rabanim.

I was there on Monday - here's the sign:

Had I realized that it had location info I would have referenced it while looking around as I was having trouble finding specific Kevarim.

The enormity of the place is incredible - over 250k buried there! Row, after row after row..

Cold and slippery with ice and snow on the ground so I didn't make it to close to all on the list.

Sixt told me that it's not  a rental car requirement but a polish law they give you the car but if police pulls you they may cease the car

I rented from hertz this winter and they didn't ask for an international.
I actually had it in my pocket ready to give.

For shabbos in Warsawwhere does one get:
A. takeout food for shabbos or paid eat-in shabbos meals? - or do i bring my own food?
B. is there a grocery store with kosher prducts? where?
C. Which shuls have regular minyanim if any during the week and shabbos?

Any suggestions on a 4 night business trip to warsaw - Friday to Tuesday

TIA!!

A - try with Chabad, or kosher delight
B - there is a kosher grocery, near nuzik shul.
C - Chabad & Nuzik shul

don't forget to go to the Jewish museum.

Thanks - Found kosher delights address on their website - Grzybowska 2 First floor - wasn't on google maps so i submitted it (dunno the right hours so ballparked those - if someone knows that could be helpful)

Any idea what the name of the kosher store is?  by the end of this trip - I hope to have a Wiki with a bit more orderly information here - so others can get trips planned easier.

Do you know if kosher delight offers paid meals or if chabad offers paid. specifically interested in paid - because that is something people can rely on - and build into their travel plans vs invites which while nice - are not something people rely on or feel comfortable taking.

Also - which offers better food?

In addition on the godaven website it says chabad has a restaurant? anyone have any info on that? - seems everyone only speaks of kosher delight.. anyone got info on that?

I was in Chabad WAW, they have a nice kitchen there, they may cook your meals, but it's not an official restaurant. Kosher delight is. Best is to call or email KD directly.

Were you in either shul for shabbos?

I found people on trip adviser like Galil. Anyone been to Galil?

I updated the WIKI to now have a good amount of useful info for warsaw travel. Will update more as i get more info - and after my trip.
