Kevarim
Jewish cemetery near the Old Powazki. Established in 1809, it is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in the world. Spread over an area of nearly 44,000 square feet (3160 square meters), the cemetery was left largely intact by the Nazis and includes the graves and tombs of a quarter of a million people, including the great Rabbanim of Warsaw as well as many secular giants in literature and the arts.

The Jewish Ghetto
The infamous Warsaw Ghetto, the scene of the only organized uprising.
On the left side of the Praga River, where the Ghetto used to be, you can visit several monuments commemorating the Jews of Warsaw, including the Monument over the Ghetto Heroes at Zamenhof Square, and Umschlagplatz, a memorial raised at the very spot where Warsaw Jews were gathered in 1943, loaded on cattle wagons and transported to the death camp at Treblinka. It is still possible to see how Jews lived in Warsaw ulica Prozna, a street left largely intact from before the Holocaust.

What is the best option for unlimited or high data sim/hotspot for poland?
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

11/25/2018

I landed in WAW at 08:50 AM on LO 152 and had to connect to LO 15 at 04:55 PM.

I had never arrived into WAW before and for some reason assumed that there would be several cellphone providers selling SIM cards.
When I arrived at the arrivals hall there were no kiosks selling SIM cards. There was a Relay Shop (non English speaking) and a Minute Shop (English speaking) that sold selling sim cards for many providers. You need to come prepared and know what you want because the store associates do not know much. They were for some reason pushing everyone to by orange Sim cards. I purchased an orange SIM for 5 PLN and it came with 6 GB of data. The store associate activated the service but could not tell me about the calling features. I also needed to insert the SIM on my own.

My car reservation was with Hertz for a small automatic car for $60/Day unlimited km. The Hertz rep said he could not rent me a vehicle because I did not have an IDP but he said that other companies may. So I went to some smaller company, avis, and sixt. I settled with sixt for 75 Euros/Day and unlimited KM for a BMW. They were the cheapest.

I pulled out of WAW at 10:20 AM and headed for Radomsko. I davened Shachris en-route and stopped at a gas station for Shmonei Esrei and then continued. I noticed that in Poland quite a few cars did not obey the speed limit so I happily followed suit. I arrived at the Hachnosas Orchim but the front gate was locked. I could not call the Shomer (located in England, with an English number)as I did not have any minutes. I couldn't call america with Hangouts as it was too early. So phoned my Israeli friend who had an American Number and he phoned the Shomer but he did not answer. It seems like there is no Hachnosas orchim, shul, or Mikvah in the winter.

I went to the address listed on the paper taped to the gate and found another Hachnosas Orchim Building. I keyed in the code but the secondary lock was locked and I therefore could not enter. I then went to the entrance of the bais hachaim (the end closest to the Tiferes Shlomo) and keyed in the code. I got to the Ohel but to my dismay it was locked. I davened outside the ohel for 45 minutes and then drove back to WAW.

Car rental returns at WAW is simple, you need to go to the P1 garage and park on level 0 in the designated area. You then need to return the keys and documents to the rental counter.

Word to the wise: Do you research with phone providers, non-IDP drivers should make two reservations, and most importantly make sure to contact the appropriate person to coordinate your arrival at the Tiferes Shlomo.
