Your TR and pics brought back great memories of my trip. The jet ski tour that takes you to Stingray City, Starfish beach and snorkling can be found at/www.fatfishadventures.com. It was one of our best days. In addition at certain times of the year, you can do the Bio Bay tours and actually swim with the micororganisms as opposed to sitting in a kayak. The company is http://caymanseaelements.com/tours/biobay/.

Thanks. It was indeed. You should head out there sometime. Though not sure how you'd get there - seems like you only go to places that you can fly to on an A380.  :P

I'm not the one to ask why YQ is what it is on certain routes, but my guess is because it's international. I fly to Canada a fair amount using Avios to book myself on AA flights and the taxes are always around $60 pp RT.

+1  Those of us with multiple kids really appreciate the CLOSER destinations.  :P

AND the activities also look like things they would enjoy.

It's a very kid-friendly place. I think around 80% of the people that we saw at our hotel were with kids.

Great TR, brings back fond memories of my first trip after joining DDF.

Thanks so much for the TR.  The water looked gorgeous and the Sting Ray tour on the jet skis looked so cool.  Do they have any rules like Mexico about not bringing in meat?  It seems like they totally let you slide without checking anything but in general can you bring whatever food you want?  Thanks again for the great TR.
I brought in chicken, they stopped me & I told them its cooked so they let me go

The jet ski tour that takes you to Stingray City, Starfish beach and snorkling can be found at/www.fatfishadventures.com. It was one of our best days.
+1 on fatfishadventures, its a whole different & fun experience doing Stingray City with a jet ski (just make sure you get a separate one for the wife ;D) also the way back you go through the mangroves which is interesting.

Also I highly recommend the turtle farm, we found it fascinating

Its not YQ, GCM charges a mandatory departure tax

By the way, when you booked the room they probably quoted you $15/night for a crib (if you requested one). That's what they told me but it never made its way on to the bill. Something to keep in mind.  ;)

Thanks for the TR.
Just curious, what did you do with your 4 moth old daughter when you went snorkeling? Or did you bring her with??

Don't need a crib, but I requested a microwave but they told me $25/day. To heck with that. I don't think they recognize SPG Elite status...at least that's what the reviews seem to indicate.

BTW. Good luck on your bar studies. My 3L year was the best...probably because it was my last. Lol.

I would try again at the front desk. They seemed pretty clueless to me so maybe you can convince them to do it for free.

Thanks! I thought 2L was great, but 3L is a whole new level.

The Westin in Grand Cayman now stocks Meal Mart Pre-made Kosher Meals, you must contact the concierge to arrange beforehand.

The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman offers premium Glatt Kosher meals from A Kosher Caterer in Miami, they will deliver to other hotels as well.
