Capital One Business Spark card
« on: January 21, 2016, 10:09:29 PM »
With the value of MR going down the drain, wouldn't it be smart for a company that does alot of spend to get the Spark card 2% cash back?

So what if they pull all 3 CB, its one time.

But here are a couple of questions which are important for those that would want to apply.

1. Can one freeze Experion and get approved?

2. Is it possible to get CL's in the 6 digits?

3. Does capital issue a 1099 on cash back?

TIA

I have the Spark. I have a 30K CL. They don't issue a 1099. Love the card.

Amex is down but there are still Citi and Chase left, besides what do you consider down the drain, selling wise? Because if you use them to fly they are still far more worth than 2%

How much would it cost you to buy?
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

True that.

Here's the issue, I have enough travel credit and points to fly for the next year or two or more, for the time being it would be more valuable to redeem future spending for cash back

IMO the card most worthy for high spending with 2% CB (not statement credit but actually CB) is: I know you're in for a shock but the answer is :Capital One Spark. All other airline miles you can buy fror cheaper. That is for simple cash back and value for your money.  If you're looking to get statue etc or you want to accumulate your own miles SPG is currently the top of my list for that. But again for someone who swipes a lot (tens of thousands a month) and does not need or already has status and can buy points frim friends etc. C1 Spark is the answer IMO

ETA: that is for Business CC's
I have a 150k limit

They offered me the card this week when I opened a business checking with them, I declined on the basis that I already have the Citi double cash, wasn't worth another 3 pulls when I already have the same benefits on Citi DC (which is only 1 pull)

One thing to point out: Crapital reports business CC balances.

+1
I had no clue that the value had gone down so much? Is there something I'm missing other than BA? Is it just an supply and demand issue, since supply is quite high to to the easy signup bonuses around? In which case in a few months it can go back up...

It's a cycle... Value goes down=less people running to earn points=less supply. It happened with lots of different currencies already. Also, if the value is low enough people will just hold out for longer=also less supply.

So it shows up on personal credit report?

Yes.

Is that only if you sign up as sole proprietor or even for a business with an EIN?

Only way how MR would go up is if Amex stops offering these 150k 100K and 75K offeres, and only offer 25K like spg and Alaska Airlines card.
