Only way how MR would go up is if Amex stops offering these 150k 100K and 75K offeres, and only offer 25K like spg and Alaska Airlines card.
How many normal people sign up for these cards and sell? The spending limits can be daunting. For the casual MSers (noob blog readers) that were doing this, many of the simplest methods the blogs were pushing died recently, or are on their last legs. Plenty of the veterans that can keep going aren't selling.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Well spg fell by 25% too. Kind of challenges your point.

25%?

2.2cpp * .75 = 1.65cpp, seems accurate.

Anyone know what the recent highest sign up bonus is for this card?
I got one that offers $500, are there higher offers than that?

I think it has to do with the Marriott spook. No other legit reason I can think of. Nothing was devalued etc. If something it only got better with A3

2.2 is high but was obtainable under the right circumstances. 1.9-1.95 is more accurate but the point still is that it dropped

Yes, but has the spg card started offering higher amounts at any point in these past 2 years?

SPG lost most of the churnability. They were much easier to accumulate a couple of years ago.

this would only strengthen the case on why it should go up in price  :o

SPG dropped from 2.2 like 4-5 years ago to 1.7/8. Amex MR dropped from 1.5 six months ago to 1.3.

And yes, I believe the main reason to the SPG drop was supply and demand. MUCH more people in the game nowadays than 4-5 years ago.

Exactly. (Unless people don't have amounts usable for trips, so they sell.)

Amex MR is now 1.3-1.35 for 2 reasons.. 1) yes there are slightly more out there but I dont think its much more than there was last year.. 2) I know for a fact (by admission) that brokers collectively pushed down the price..  The only way it can go back up if the big players (500k-1M+ per transaction minimum) who sell dont sell under 1.5 otherwise this is here to stay.

Bottom line is just use your points.. :)

Lets get back on the subject,  so does Capital one really report business CC to CB? Even if you have a EIN?
