Thanks!
IMO diving is significantly better when you're certified. You have much more freedom
Maybe. The only reason I haven't yet is because, like you, I get sea sick really easily. That normally spoils the trip for me.

The Dramamine really help. I think I only got nauseous when I have to zip up the wetsuits. It may have been a little bit small. But once I took it off I felt much better

Which camera did you use for underwater shots/vids?

Very nice!  I love the underwater shots.

By the way, it doesn't look like you used a red filter on your GoPro.  One of the divers that I spoke to on Maui recommended using one.  Here is the link:

The dive guy showed me the difference in quality between GoPro shots taken with and without the red filter at depth and the quality was very noticeable.  I personally didn't need a red filter because we were only snorkeling and staying relatively close to the surface.  For you it would definitely be worth it.

The GoPro software can easily do that.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Would u recommend Kauai if I won't be hiking at all (pregnant wife)?
Are there still great sites reachable by car? Otherwise I'll do Maui....

There are plenty of things to do besides hiking. Also, I'm sure you can find some hikes that are really just nature walks.

Glad you had a good time with Fathom Five.  We stopped by when we were there and they told us there was a refresher class early in the morning.  By the time we got there they had left already for the morning dive.  Maybe next time.

DH dove on the Big Island and he said the water there was incredible.
Good to know the GoPro can do underwater.. Havent bought an underwater camera since many years ago and it never was great even then.

Something to buy in the future.
Love the pictures.  I went snorkeling at Poipu and was surprised at the abundance of fish there.

I made reservations a couple of weeks before. I was actually supposed to go Tuesday but they didn't have enough people so they put me on Wednesday.
I was also surprised by how many fish we saw. The area isn't so big and is definitely not deep
