i think it depends on whether you were quoting the last post or one further up.
Meaning if you are quoting a older post it wont warn you because you already know there are newer posts...im not sure of that one though

I tried in 2 different browsers and it's not working, maybe there's setting that i accidentally set...

On second thought, no, that's not it. it was set correctly all along. I guess I'm back to square 1...

Try setting it off and setting it back on (while saving in between).
