My only knock against the article is that the research doesn't take into account that not everyone who is an undecided voter will be googling about an election and even if they do, they're not necessarily googling generic election terms. They may be googling "Hillary new hampshire results", and not "who should I vote for" (apparently I should vote for Rubio).

Do you know why companies pay billions for marketing?

So that they can influence you without you raising your defenses!

If they would just target people asking the question you pose, it wouldn't be called AI (artificial intelligence), that's plain dumb. The intelligence is in how to influence you in a subtle manner without you realizing. And not even target you if the AI algorithm determines that you have strong opinions one way or another.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Great article... but for all of you above who are testing it out, keep in mind- were you signed into any Google product when you searched? If on a mobile device, if it's Android then I assume unless you are in Incognito mode it knows who you are; even on iOS when I sign into a new google app it asks me if I want to use my credentials it already has from a diff. app (i.e. Google Maps).

Seems that a quick and easy way to avoid this is only to search on Google when you are sure you are not signed in.

They will track your physical PC and correlate it to the accounts that sign in most on that PC, as well as mobile devices that access Google from that I.p. address.
Their entire business is based on how well they can track your activity. Therefore they are scarily good at it.

Ye but have ads for both Latina and Asian dating apps on my feed... I mean they can think I'm into both?

I used full site.  Figured it out, though.

You need to scroll down and choose 'Google tilt' which will give you this.
See what happens when you type a word.
