I downgraded from SP to Freedom Unlimited 2 days ago, my card is showing as FU on Chase website. If I make a purchase with my 'old' SP card, will I already get 1.5 ppd?

No. There is no business version of the card

I recall posts about how one can apply for a business card and just use there personal info when filling out the application (make up a business name), wondering if it works in reverse.

Just fill it out truthfully. If your business name is "ABC Widgets" then that is what you put down. If the business name is your name then that is what you put down.

You literally didn't understand a word he said.
If you have a business, get a business card with that info.
Or get a personal card with your personal info.

i really did not understand it that way! :), seems a shame as the extra .5 mile/$ spent really adds up for me.

Thanks

There's a United Club business card that gives 1.5 United miles per dollar. If you use alot of United miles, it's something to look into.

Many companies don't take Amex. Mainly want to stay in the chase family to take advantage of $0.15 value for travel with the Sapphire Preferred. Any other recommendations? At this point i'm leaning towards the ink business cash, not great. To make it a bit more confusing, we are in the real estate business, i'm looking to get a separate credit card for each of 14 properties.

Freedom Unlimited 3% UR

Perfect timing - as the spg amex will no longer be useful as an everyday card, we were all going to the chase quadfecta anyway. This is just pure gravy.

1st year, no signup bonus, except 2500 for adding an AU
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

So it's good for the next year. It's an everyday card, not a SUB card. At 3% UR, it's the best everyday card out there, pushing the spg and the Amex Blue Biz to the side. As it is - with the 1.5%, it was compelling for an everyday card. Now it's a no brainer
