I don't agree.
People skim over things with no pics, and are less engaged without pics.

If he is able to get more visitors, and more of those visitors are engaged visitors, there will be a better conversion rate.

Otherwise according to your logic, he shouldn't add specs of the products, that way he gets people to click to see the specs.

And he shouldn't include the price either.

And he should just post links with no titles or description, that would really make Dan a lot of money.

Change fix to improve.

I think the only things people are really taking issue with are the lack of pictures and how the entire post is on the home page. Maybe to make it easier to separate deals etc. The overall look is purely aesthetic.

Agree. Definitely have to very careful when messing with something that is basically your brand.

Seriously, on other threads you were the first to say that the site is circa 2004 and needs improvement (and others said it was fine). Now we're switching roles. Why can't we all just agree that we like arguing, no matter the side, and then it won't get personal and nobody will be insulted?

I think there should be a vote on all the ideas to decide which few ideas are the most important.
