Which hotel to stay at in HKG for shabbos?
In the Kowloon area of Hong Kong, which is the bottom of hkg, that is near both Chabad and the Sephardi minyon that is where you need to stay.
We stayed at both the Shearaton and hyatt regency. For shabbos shearton is much easier, they are familiar with shabbos and you can enter from ground level and take steps all the way to your floor without an issue. You need to go to 2nd floor and tell guest relations to open the door on your floor.
The hyatt has a system where you enter on ground floor and take an elevator up to 5th floor reception and then another elevator up to your room. Also the elevator requires your key to let you get off on the that floor. Hyatt is around corner from Chabad and SHearton is just a few blocks away
Another bad thing about Hyatt is the pool seems to be in a wind tunnel and is very windy.
