Someone is getting sponsored flights within USA and Canada.

Rules:

He only gets to use one world partners.
He starts at 9:30pm on sunday in YVR and has to ends up the latest 5:30pm on thursday the same week in YYZ.

The only thing that might be changeable is instead of YVR to have ATL or IAD.

Remember, he is only allowed to fly eastwards.
If he ever lands in an airport more west then the one he departed on, he is done, and has to pay for the trip himself.

This is not theoretical, but a real life story.

Who can figure how he can go the most of airports, keeping track of minimum valid connections?

As those flights are in Business (where applicable) its a bonus if there are red eye flights instead of needing to sleep in hotels.

If a certain flight never has availability with miles (not offered), its not a valid airport.

Let the fun begin !

As a begin, I believe its a good idea to fly YVR-SFO-LAX-SAN. Etc

What OW flight is there between YVR-SFO?
A search on ITA only comes up with *A

I am definitely no pro at this but this is my amateur initial results for the flight path.
The closest eastbound flight I can find on OW from YVR would be to DFW so... going eastbound only;

YVR-DFW
DFW-MCI/STL/MSY
MCI/STL/MSY-ORD
ORD-ATL
ATL-MIA
MIA-YYZ

The only non-AA OW partner flight in all of North American that I can think of is CX's YVR-JFK.

Wow!! That's horrible news.

It also was the only OW flight on a normal plane, as far as I know.

@Dan: that's just how the challenge goes, and I forgot to mention that he cannot go twice to the same airport.

The trick here is to pass as many airports as possible. But preferably moving the least possible eastwards, since you cannot go westwards. Add to it, as a bonus that if the latest flight in the day can be a red eye, he does not need to waste time + money going to a hotel.

So a yvr-yyz would be the worst flight you could take.

I'm not so familiar with usa airports, I thought that some rooky here would have some ideas.

Even if finding something in the middle of the journey, we can puzzle it together later.

It would be very embarrassing if I were to find the best options...

Super,
If you are stuck using just AA and cannot go westward then I am pretty sure my list is pretty accurate. I may have missed 1 or 2 stops but I don't think there are many more possibilities.
Also, most of these flights are short haul and I doubt there are many red eyes.

You guys are right, but it seemed for some unclear, so I did some over-explaining.

I looked around, and I see that they have an awesome choice of flights, only from their hubs, but starting from take YVR its pretty poor.

So let's see how your trip can be expanded.

Its only there once, when I write "MCI/STL/MSY" I mean that either one of these will work (not all 3) since they are all in between DFW and ORD and I can only find one connecting city in between these 2.

MIA is a tad to the west of YYZ;
MIA=80° 17' 8" W
YYZ=79° 37' 51" W

I tried the www.oneworld.com and www.aa.com interactive map.

Both seemed pretty much useless.

You would be able to add MIA-RDU-IAD instead of just MIA-YYZ.
