alright, there is one city that is the departure and one the end point.

you could choose between any two airports I mentioned before.

so the guy is allowed to zigzag any direction towards the end point, but not get a flight that heads in the reverse direction.

Super,
Maybe its just me but I dont hear any new "chiddush" that we didnt already know to get more flights stuck in- we already maximized as much as possible with the rules we were given.

When you say the guy is allowed to "zigzag any direction towards the end point, but not get a flight that heads in the reverse direction" basically you are saying we can choose if we want all the flights to go only to the east or only to the west.
So where does the "zigzag" come in? That the flights can be to the north and south? that was obvious- the cities are not all in a straight line so that is a given. (i.e. my last leg of MIA-YYZ was a few hour flight that goes to the east but just barely, it was south to north).
As long as it can "only be to the east" or "only to the west" I dont see any ways to make this more "suicidal" ;D

And at this point I think it would only be fair after the time we already put into this if you can tell us what this is all about. It may help.

I'm tied with hand and fee tin this one.

I know it involves kind of an experiment.

The same with West-East movement, there could be a North-South movement.

I'm onto something new, and as I'm not fully ok with required visas etc, I don't want to go into details, however, this much I will say:
I B"H managed to ticket with AC, something that used up the extremes of what's physically possible according to the star alliance rules, so both segments and maximum mileage wise.
