Reversing a hotel booking with UR

So I go to DC yearly, more accurately Bethesda, NIH covers it. So this year I wanted to be in the main DC area.. was excited to try out soupergirl a I love soup (was ok) and tour DC.. sadly ut was so frilking cold and rainy mid may I barely went any where.. worse yet twice at Charbar was disappointing... all that to stay at lousy comfort inn instead of marriott suites bethesda ugh

So my point is, I get reimbursed a specific amount and I was not interested in spending much more for downtown DC so I used the UR portal and found a rate that fit the bill.. and I stupidly paid with UR

NOW, they tell me, they dont reimburse for hotel bookings made with points *tears out hair* how do i get chase to reverse the points and charge my cc ?

So in finality I got a crappy comfort in room despite status match and upgrade request, crappy meals, 30 min trips lyft $$  and no reimbursement FML. next time im staying in marriott suites and I missed out on stay 2 nights get 1 free

Not sure how effective this will be. Whenever you book through a third party Expedia/orbitz etc... Or UR portal, they pay the hotel directly at a prenegotiated cash rate. Try to get ahold of that bill for your stay. I have gotten them in the past, even though the hotel isn't supposed to give it to you... Then maybe you will at least get reimbursed the lower rate.

just really burned, could have got 10k + marriott points, a free night, better stay, closer etc and now im down the hotel cost ugh

Has chase UR ever reversed a payment and returned ur and billed a CC ?

The email confirmation shows the cash rate and UR conversion. Can you just use that?

nope, that was my error, i thought the cash rate would work but they wont reimburse if using points, the hotel gave me a reciept thanks tzifanya, so i'm done 90$ not bad but lesson learned.. still gritting my teeth

The one time I said.. screw status, screw a marriott suite... I #1 didnt get to go out much and #2 got a crummy room. I think i'll go back to marriott always, even when paying more
