I used it today. I am a loyal uber VIP with over 3,000 miles under my belt.
However JUNO solves everything I hate about UBER.

They are only taking drivers with an uber rating of 4.8 and above.

I used this promotion today it was excellent.

However today's 50% off from uber isn't too shabby either

I always argue that Uber will not be the king in the near future. Uber is educating people about ride sharing, they fight every city and town. They spend billions doing just that. Now comes a third party that finds a straightened out field, they have no debt, learn from all the mistakes Uber did and they can compete. The same happened for Voice telephony. There used to be a king called Vonage which spent millions educating people about Void and how reliable it can be, now who knows about Vonage? nobody... other providers came in without the cost of educating people and started offering the same thing

But with only 1,000 app downloads, how are you going to actually find a driver?

Which driver will want to drive for Uber once Juno gets larger?
Uber is fighting all the international fights, only to see another company enjoy the benefits. Uber is way overvalued now.

Of cuourse, they take off 10% of the regular rate (not the discount rate), driver gets paid surge price, even though passenger never pays surge

My point is that Juno can become big enough and popular enough for everyone to have Juno, allowing drivers to drop uber and have the same people call them via Juno.

When Juno drops the 35% promo, they will be more expensive than the competition (in their own words).

Their plan is differentiate themselves by having happier drivers.

Even though they currently have more drivers than Lyft, most people will just go back cheaper option, driver's commission and happiness be damned. This is NYC after all, home of the yellow cab.

The second they are a real threat to Uber, they'll capitalize on that.
