United Polaris: UA finally gets a new business class seat

Not sure if this is the right place to post...found for tomorrow 5/5 UA #300 SFO-HNL seems to have plenty saver award available on the newly retrofitted Polaris business class 777-200.

Pretty sure this is the new Polaris seating. The also have the return flight later that night (shabbos) returning back to SFO.

Polaris seatmap for the 767 posted here. No bad squashing in economy this time. Same seat width as before.

They are just putting new seats in the business cabin, (it's not a new aircraft) the economy will probably have same old seats.

Ah. The amount of seats is different, though. And the pitch is an inch less in economy plus.

Are the new seats better than the old ones? Obviously, Ion the 777 they're not, because they're narrower. Is there any difference here?

I haven't looked but they're definitely putting new seats in- Y+ is losing 3 seats and Y is gaining 3.

That may be true but the y+,y changes doesn't mean they're changing the seats...

Quick review on new Polaris seat on 77W

1) Super Comfortable
2) Lots of space
3) A bit cumbersome to get in and out of
4) Same horrible KSML's and drink menu hasnt changed much
5) Stewardesses who allegedly accompanied Amelia Earhart on her Transatlantic Crossing and were thus too old or snobby to do anything without a grunt.

Looking forward to trying the El Al Dreamliner

I flew both the economy and business on new planes - while business was amazing very comfortable I slept from takeoff - landing told them no service don't wake me for anything and she didn't.
Economy even with bulkhead was brutal, sitting shoulder to shoulder on full flight not a single person cleared the upgrade list
