By the way, just wondering, for those who rely on USDA in place of keeping cholov Yisrael, is that only for sealed containers? I mean, the USDA is at the farm, they're not at the restaurant.
You're technically correct.By the way, just wondering, for those who rely on USDA in place of keeping cholov Yisrael, is that only for sealed containers? I mean, the USDA is at the farm, they're not at the restaurant. Interesting question.
Rabbi Elefant says it's a difficult question, didn't give me any answer
I'm assuming this service is only for someone that is mapkid on c'y and purchasing a beverage that the utensils dont get cleaned in dishwasher (or together with anything used for non-kosher)?
Huh? What would someone put in the open container? Non usda milk? Where would they get that from?
We stayed on a farm and had exactly that. They gave us fresh milk from a cow in a milk bottle.
not exactly a concern at Starbucks
It's not colov Yisroel once the bottle is opened...
So you have no idea what CY means.....
You never know if they have a cow in the back for when they run out of milk
You never know if they have a camel in the back for when they run out of milk

Ah, makes sense. Thanks for clarifying that.Frankly, I'm surprised that anybody at all relies on that. But I'm not from Monsey.
