NY
EQ - citi, citi biz, c schwab
TU - chase banking
ExP - amex, chase credit, macys (dont know how that happened but its almost 2 yrs old)

the good -
3 browser method seems to have worked on citi, amex, and chase, but citi and citi biz are separate pulls.
Since I started churning about 15 months ago, scores have overall gone up not down across all three agencies.

the bad - Exp score is 50 points lower than TU and EQ as i have 12 pulls on Exp and only 7 COMBINED on EQ and TU. My only pull on TU was chase banking; zero credit cards. Its as if no cc in NY uses TU at all.

How can I raise the ExP score? Freeze? Just staying on the sidelines for a while until old apps roll off (which will be 8-10 months and no way i can wait that long)? and what cards are good for citi (churning) besides aa biz cards? Or what cards in general do not pull from Exp in NY?

I'm in NY too, see my post from earlier in this thread, I underlined the info you're looking for:

Update:

NY state:

Amex: Experian (three browser trick confirmed, at least for me)
Bank of America: TransUnion
>>Barclays: TransUnion (browser trick didn't work, two apps two pulls)
CapitalOne: All three bureaus, duh!
Chase: Experian (three browser trick confirmed, at least for me)
Citi: Equifax (three browser trick confirmed, though it seems biz card was a separate pull), both personal and biz pulls
Discover: TransUnion
SimmondsFirst: TransUnion

Summary

Citi's the only one that pulled Equifax.
Amex and Chase both pulled Experian. (my score is 30 points lower here because of all the pulls)
Others pulled TransUnion

thanks much. will need to check out current offers on the TU pullers.

3 browser citi biz: how many separate business's do you apply with? Does it work like a personal app - no big deal to get 3 cards at once for the same person/biz, or is it more scrutinized? Or is it good old YMMV?

The last two times I applied for a Chase card they pulled BOTH Transunion and then Experian. I don't know if this is a common practice here in OK or if they aren't capable of making a decision on me with just one credit report.

So it seems like Chase pulls from Experian for both consumer and businessin NY. Can anyone confirm this directly? I'm thinking of doing a Chase triple browser app (Sapphire, Hyatt, and CO) and one of the cards was gonna be the CO consumer. But now I realized I need CDW in Israel so I'm thinking of doing the CO business. Any thoughts?

You would chose a card based on it having for CDW for a trip?

Why not do a Citi app-o-rama at the same time and include the TY Preferred and get $250 and a no annual fee card with free CDW in Israel?

Well, I was planning on getting a CO card anyway, so I figured I'd get the one with CDW instead. Now I did a little looking around, and I see the CO biz cards don't have quite as good a bonus package as the consumer.

Why not do a Citi app-o-rama at the same time and include the TY Preferred and get $250 and a no annual fee card with free CDW in Israel?

I'm probably gonna do something like that, I just wasn't planning on doing it all at once. Now that you mention it though it's probably better to do all at once . What would you say are the best other 2 Citi cards for a triple browser? I'm thinking maybe Dividend Platinum Select (to add to my stable of rotating 5% cards :P) and Hilton HHonors. Everyone seems to say they pull from Equifax in NY, which is the middle of my 3 scores. Maybe I'll freeze the 2 E's and try to pull off 6 cards with only 2 pulls on TU. What do you think?

I'm from NJ. So most of my pulls are from EX. So I was also wondering if freezing accounts has worked for anyone.

Welcome to the forums!

Freezing doesn't work for Amex/Citi, but has been reported to work for Chase.

Freezing + multiple-browsers (a method to reduce inquires with the same issuer) doesn't always work.
